Overseas Vietnamese builds hospital in Laos

Work on the first private hospital for mothers and children invested by an overseas Vietnamese family in Laos started Saturday in Vientiane.

The US$3.8 million project is funded by the couple Dang Tien Thanh and Bien Thi Ki.

Covering an area of 12,550 sq.m, the seven-storey hospital will accommodate 120 beds, waiting rooms and basements equipped with modern facilities.

Contruction of the hospital is expected to be completed within 18 months.
