Vietnam, Malaysia to ink crime prevention deal
Tuoi Tre, VNA

Vietnam and Malaysia have agreed to cooperate on transnational crime and are set to sign an agreement in Hanoi next month, Minister of Public Security Le Hong Anh said at the end of his official visit to Malaysia on Sunday.

Malaysian Minister of Internal Affairs Hishammuddin Hussein would sign off when he accompanies Prime Minister Najib Razak to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit on April 8-9, he said.

Malaysia will not allow any individuals or organizations to act or launch hostile activities against the Vietnamese government from its soil.

Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin also told Anh that the deal would act as a base for further promoting bilateral relations.

Last October the two sides had approved an agreement to cooperate against money laundering.
