VNA

Vietnam is preparing to receive delegates from United Nations human rights bodies and other organizations, Standing Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh said Tuesday in Switzerland where he is attending the UN’s 13th regular human rights meeting.

The delegates plan to tour the nation to study poverty, healthcare, ethnic minority issues, and impact caused by foreign debts, he said.

Minh also called on the UN to examine the impacts of the economic meltdown, climate change, and epidemics on global human rights.

The meeting is being held from March 1 to 26.
