Swiss cable car and hospitality service firm Titlis Rotair has teamed up with a local partner to offer package tours for Vietnamese travelers to visit Switzerland.

Titlis Rotair marketing director André Küttel told Thoi Bao Kinh Te Sai Gon (Saigon Economic Times) newspaper last week its Hanoi-based partner, tour operator BlueSky-travel, would arrange air tickets for tourists to the European country.

The holidaymakers will receive tourism services, including accommodation, food and excursion services, from Titlis Rotair, according to the marketing director.

Küttel said the number of Vietnamese arrivals to Switzerland remained modest but the Southeast Asian country is a potential market with arrivals from Vietnam to Swiss winter sport area Engelberg had doubled annually over the past three years.

Vietnamese travelers from middle-class who tend to travel overseas are the targeted customers of the firm, Küttel said.

The two partners have designed package tours for seven to 11 days each which include trips to the central mountainous resort village Engelberg and other attractions in Switzerland, according to BlueSky-travel sales and marketing director Nguyen Hao Thanh Phi.

The package tours are offered for US$3,200 to $3,700 each traveler.

Tourist can also book free & easy tours which include airfares and accommodation for an average rate of $2,000 each.

Titlis Rotair is one of the major cable car companies in Switzerland which also runs restaurants, kiosks as well as the Trübsee Alpine Lodge located in the Titlis area and Hotel Terrace on the southern slope of Engelberg.
