Foreign and local tourists can now reserve hotel rooms for their stays in Vietnam via the online booking site www.hvo.vn recently launched by tourism service provider International Tourist Co., Ltd.
The Hotel Reservation Service website is presented in two versions, in English and Vietnamese languages.
It includes hotel booking information, room rates, star ratings, charging policies, available services and facilities for guests, promotion programs as well as the hotels’ estimated distances from the localities’ downtown areas, nearby airports and train stations.
The website also offers travel guides, tourist information on local attractions, delicacies as well as festivals and cultural events to take place across the country.
Vietnam currently has 10,900 lodging facilities with 215,000 rooms, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.
They include 184 three-star standard accommodations with 13,200 rooms, 95 facilities rated four stars with 11,630 rooms and 35 five-star accommodations with 8,800 rooms.
Since 2010, all hotels rated three stars and above are now allowed to keep some of their entertainment facilities open until 2a.m. instead of 12a.m. under a new government decree.
