Vietnamese-owned chain Highlands Coffee is offering customers the chance to win prizes including free stays at Mercure hotels following a deal it made with the French brand.
Under a promotion it announced Tuesday in Ho Chi Minh City, buyers of its new drink Jelly Freeze will have an opportunity to win a three-night stay at one of Mercure’s three four-star hotels in Vietnam, the Mercure Hue Gerbera, Mercure Dalat Hotel Du Parc, and the Mercure Hanoi La Gare.
Four winners chosen by a lucky draw May 14 will also get a round of golf, air tickets, airport-hotel transfers, spa treatment, and a city tour depending on the location, Thoi Bao Kinh Te Sai Gon Online (Saigon Economic Times Online) newspaper reported.
Raphaela T. Galang, retail operations manager of the Viet Thai International Joint Stock Co, owner of Highlands Coffee, said at the ceremony that Mercure would be promoted at the chain’s 70 coffee shops around the country.
The promotion is aimed at building brand awareness among the two chains’ target customers, including expatriates, Tony Chisholm, general manager of Mercure Dalat Hotel Du Parc, said.
Mercure, owned by the Accor Group, is the world’s second largest midrange hotel chain with a network of 750 properties in 47 countries.
It is a growing brand in Vietnam together with Accor’s other well-established brands like Sofitel and Novotel.
Accor currently operates 13 hotels throughout Vietnam under the Sofitel, MGallery, Novotel, and Mercure brands.
